V8000HD battery problem

Hello,

I just received the V8000HD monitor package and have an issue with the battery. I opened the package and took out the L960 battery that was in it, and immediately noticed that in the package's literature it says it should be a L970 battery. I also purchased an additional L970 battery for a backup. Now I have two batteries, and L960 and L970.

I charged (or thought I charged) them overnight. When I attach either battery to the monitor, nothing happens. No power. No LED light. When I plug in the adapter, it works like a charm.

I read on the internet that you are having problems with the charger? Did you pack the correct (L960) battery with the unit?

Please advise, I would appreciate it. I really don't want to have to return it.

I just sent your message to our tech support. They will be able to issue you a RMA and have you monitor repaired. I'll make sure they contact you right away.

Actually, I got the L960 to work. It's the L970 that does not. I guess, by reading other posts, that off-brands dont work? That's fine, I'll return the L970 and get another, but can you recomend what battery I need to get from Adorama?

We have a few batteries that we have tested with the V8000HD and those are; the ikan brand, official sony, and Lemnar batteries. If you monitor is not working with one of those then maybe it has something to do with the battery pins. Try the L970 again and make sure that the battery pins are making good contact. Let me know

hmm, If you'd like we can issue you an RMA and we can take a look at it, including you batteries just to make a through test. IF you want to proceed with an RMA send me an email at julio@ikancorp.com and I will send you further instructions and a RMA number.

I don't know what an RMA is, that must be Ikan speak, but if you mean sending the whole thing back then I would prefer just to get the correct battery because the L960 that came with the package works fine. Can you please get me a model number for the battery that works?

Sorry about that. In regards to compatible batteries we sell our own batteries for $89.95. Also, there are the official Sony brand batteries that will work.
