Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand!

My name is Pastor Doug, and our family is serving as missionaries in Thailand. I am serving as the Church Planting Coordinator for the Hope for Bangkok Church Planting Initiative (H4BKK). We are spreading the Gospel by planting churches - so far 22 new church plants by God's grace! God has 12,000,000 precious Thai people in this city, with the majority who have never heard the story of Jesus Christ.

Media is one tool we are using to tell Christ's story, and how He can give us the best life today - a life full of peace, compassion, and victory over evil. Our media ministry is a faith ministry, built upon the personal sacrifice of God's people.

Here's some a few ways we are spreading the Hope of Jesus Christ around the city:
* art evangelism (wall mural by one of our media missionaries last year
* health education
* Teaching English for Spiritual Purposes (low cost English tutoring), among the slums and other neighborhoods where we are working in this city.

Through volunteer media missionaries we are mentoring Thai's to be story tellers, to tell Christ's story in their lives to their friends, and family. Here are a few samples done a couple years ago that are online:

1. God is My Protection: 1:18 minutes
When facing evil, who protects you? Some look for protection from golden amulets, lucky charms, or long chants. Listen to Kanika's story of where she found protection when faced with an evil spirit. THAI

2. God Answers a Seamstress' Prayer: 1:56 minutes
When you face problems, who helps you? Listen to the story of how God answered the prayers of this seamstress in Bangkok, Thailand.
Matthew 6:31-33 THAI

Gear: We presently have a couple Canon HF100 HD Vixia PAL and a Canon 550 Rebel 2Ti (HSLR), and a SD Canon GL2 NTSC.

Our Ikan Investment Proposal:
1. Ikan Recoil Camera Stabilization for our small cameras / DSLR
2. Ikan Elements for our small cameras / DSLR: which ever works best (Basic fly / Super fly / etc.)

Andrew, is one of our volunteer media missionaries and he's been in the field for +10 days collecting stories. Once he's done editing we'll upload them for you! Thanks for partnering with us in spreading the Gospel in Thailand!
