AC107 Universal Battery Plate with Ikan V8000HD

I realize that I would not be able to actually mount the AC107 battery
plate to the back of my Ikan V8000HD monitor, but I am wondering whether the
AC107 is otherwise compatible with this LCD monitor. In other words,
if I attached the AC107 to a tripod leg and plugged it into the power-
in port on the back of the monitor, is there any reason this would not
work to power the monitor? I have batteries from both Panasonic and
Sony and doing this would allow me to use both with the monitor.

The AC107 battery plate will work perfectly with the V8000HD. The AC107 was designed to take the 7.2v of the DV and convert it 12v, exactly what the monitor needs.
